For the SonicWALL routers, we recommend the following adjustments:
1. Disable SIP Transformations
2. Enable Consistent NAT
3. Make sure UDP timeout is set to a minimum of 300 seconds (globally)
4. For JIVE: Create rules to allow ANY UDP traffic to (LAN -> WAN) and from (WAN -> LAN) these Jive IP blocks :
– 199.36.248.0/22 with a net mask of 255.255.252.0
– 199.87.120.0/22 with a net mask of 255.255.252.0
– 162.250.60.0/22 with a net mask of 255.255.252.0
These adjustments will generally resolve 99% of SIP-signaling issues on SonicWALL-routed networks. If not, please let us know.
